Jemier Jenkins (she/her) is an educator and community leader whose work bridges performance, education, and community impact. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Tampa Bay Black Theatre, advancing Black storytelling and equitable access to the arts across the region.
On stage, Jemier has delivered memorable performances including Genesis in The Light (Studio@620), Miss Pat in The Colored Museum (American Stage Theatre Company), and Blanche Dubois in A Streetcar Named Desire with the African-American Shakespeare Company in San Francisco—a portrayal later featured in Nancy Schoenberger’s Blanche: The Life and Times of Tennessee Williams’s Greatest Creation.
As an Artist-in-Residence at The Studio@620, Jemier is committed to creating and contributing to work that uplifts Black artists, centers marginalized voices, honors healing, and celebrates the resilience and truth of Black stories.
A St. Petersburg native and Florida State University alumna, Jemier is currently pursuing an MBA at Syracuse University. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Zeta Upsilon Omega Chapter, and continues to blend artistry, leadership, and community service in all of her work.
