Freddie Hughes, known artistically as FreddieFred, is a curator, artist, and creative steward who brings people together through the power of art and genuine connection. With more than a decade of experience across gallery operations, exhibition design, and hospitality, Freddie’s work is rooted in care, for artists, for their stories, and for the community that gathers around them.
At The Studio@620, he curates and produces visual art exhibitions that invite conversation and belonging. Each show is crafted with intention, from concept to installation, weaving together diverse voices into spaces that feel alive. His background in luxury hospitality and residential management has shaped his distinctive approach: attentive to detail, mindful of atmosphere, and guided by the belief that everyone deserves to feel welcome in creative spaces.
As an artist, Freddie explores the intersections of geometry, rhythm, and culture, reflecting his Puerto Rican heritage and his upbringing in Wilmington, Delaware. His mixed-media work mirrors the duality of urban structure and natural flow.
