Event Series
Find programming you can attend on a regular basis.
Our Event Series are recurring programs that connect you with our community on a regular basis. With art shows, book clubs, poetry readings and more, you can count on The Studio@620 to be your local source for entertainment and inspiration.
Social Justice Initiative
The Studio@620 has always been a home for community discussions including our long running Social Justice Round-table series. We’re embarking on an expansion of these ideas with a larger Social Justice Initiative. This effort will encompass the full range of arts programming The Studio offers but with an added focus on equal rights and justice for all groups regardless of race, orientation, or gender.
Monthly Book Club
The Studio@620 invites you to a monthly book club gathering in collaboration with Keep St. Pete Lit. Book lovers will meet the first Wednesday of each month to discuss a pre-selected tome.
Poetry Open Mic
The Studio@620 and Keep St. Pete Lit are keeping poetry open mic happening virtually on the last Wednesday of each month via ZOOM! Now you can read one or two poems with the group in a Zoom meet-up, almost as good as being together in person!
SPOK: Socratic Pursuit of Knowledge
The Studio@620 welcomes SPOK: the Socratic Pursuit of Knowledge, as part of our Social Justice Initiative.
This new discussion series consists of a small gathering of local young adults that attempt to bring nuance and understanding to controversial and often overlooked issues. These topics can be anything from the recent protests on police brutality, to free trade, climate change and environmental racism, reparations, democracy, gun ownership, the development of countries, gender, religious freedom, and even the ethics of cannibalism, yes, cannibalism. The young people are a collection of college graduates and poets that specialize in formal debate and respectful social critique.
