2022 Momentum Choreographers Showcase

0projectALCHEMY presents the fourth annual Momentum Choreographers Showcase, featuring a new lineup of rising artists from near and far. Join Ambar Cesari, Khasilan Riley, Kinsey Vaughen, and Angelina Graves as they take you on a movement tour within the walls of The Studio@620. Each artist will share their view of the world and their place within it.

Enter into a gallery animated by the imaginations of these rising artists in collaboration with The Studio’s talented Managing Director Marcus Wehby, projectALCHEMY’s Artistic Director Alexander Jones, and company managers Sarah Hamilton and Emily Curry. The Momentum Choreographer’s Showcase spans an hour and half at most, containing a mixture of durational and finite dance works that occur over the course evening. Guests will navigate their way through The Studio, encountering dance happenings, interacting with dance via technology, and experiencing blossoming installation work. This dance event is not your normal dance performance and seating for this event is limited. Some dance works will encourage the viewer to move around the space and/or follow the dance into a new space entirely.

Want to unpack the dance experiences with others?  Afterwards, guests are encouraged to venture out into an open air discussion area adjacent to The Studio@620. Though there will be no formal talkback or dialogue with choreographers during the event, we do encourage that you meet and greet with the choreographers throughout the event to hear first hand about the artistic process and their journey in creating their work.
