This open mic is anything but blah!

Bring your finest prose or a true story to share. Everyone gets 7 minutes on the stage to present their work.

The Open Mic Rules:
1. Every reader gets 7 minutes to share their work.
2. We’ll limit each event to just 10 readers.
3. Toss your name in the bucket when you arrive. Names will be chosen at random.

This month’s featured guest is author Rob Sanders, reading from his newest children’s picture book, “Book Comes Home: A Banned’s Book’s Journey.”

Rob Sanders, from Brandon, Florida, is a teacher who writes and a writer who teaches. He is known for his funny and fierce fiction and nonfiction picture books and is recognized as one of the pioneers in the arena of LGBTQIA+ literary nonfiction picture books.
He is a former elementary school teacher who has published fiction and nonfiction picture books, a middle grade novel, a book of poetry, and more. Rob believes in paying it forward. He serves on the SCBWI Impact and Legacy Fund Steering Committee and is a frequent speaker, teacher, mentor, coach, and critiquer.
