The Studio@620 welcomes Pinellas Diaspora Arts Project (PDAP) and Tampa Bay Afrofuturism Festival (TBAFF) in presenting BRIDGES: FUTURE/PRESENT, FUTURE/PAST, a curated group art exhibit featuring the work of artists of the diaspora whose lives and experiences have crossed “time bridges”.  Images and inspiration span the generations from the Civil Rights / Black Power Movements, United Farm Works, La Raza Unida, and the Chicano Liberation Movements of the past, into the volatile, chaotic energy of today, while conjuring powerful visions of tomorrow.
The exhibit will launch with an opening celebration on Saturday November 4, 2023 fro 6:00-8:00 PM. An panel of artists will participate in a discussion moderated by Erica Sutherlin on Sunday November 12, 2023 at 2:00 PM. Admission is free and open to the public. Reservations are requested for the discussion panel.

Artists featured in the exhibit include:

Viva Barron, Ray Brown, Elaine Chambliss, Freeman, Debbie Yati Garrett, John Gascot, Boyzell Hosey, Dallas Cooper Jackson, Oliver L. Jackson Jr., Gary L. Lemons, Cora Marshall, Aleesh Mustaqim, Steven Ramsey, Luis ‘Papo’ Rodriguez, Christopher Williams, and Frederick Woods.
