Nocturne by Adam Rapp

Theatre

The Studio@620 invites you to experience Nocturne as performed by Drew Eberhard, directed by Alan Mohoney Jr. on January 18-19-20, 2024. This will be the first production of Mr. Rapp’s extraordinary work to be seen anywhere in the Tampa Bay area.

Nocturne, by award-winning playwright Adam Rapp, is the story of a former prodigy pushed beyond his limits by his father who wants him to be a great pianist. The haunting tale explores the tragic event that tore his family apart, and how his entire life is defined by this one moment. Leaving the piano and home behind, he forges a new life that is steeped in literature and the cultivation of the written word. Fifteen years later he returns home, attempting to mend whatever relationship
remains and reckon with what could have been. This intimate work runs approximate 85 minutes with no intermission.
