Parallel Lives

Presented by The Studio@620 & Florida Humanities

Theatre

Parallel Lives is a new staged reading that weaves together first-person narratives, encouraging audiences to reflect on the resilience of humanity.

Developed in partnership with Florida Humanities through a series of interviews with members of our local community, these original short plays spotlight pairs of individuals who share a common thread—whether it’s a profession, passion, or personal journey—but who have experienced that thread in completely different ways.

From contrasting perspectives within the fashion industry to divergent paths of healing and wellness, Parallel Lives invites audiences to explore the complexity of identity and the many ways we move through the world. Written by The Studio@620’s Artistic Executive Director, Erica Sutherlin, this project blends documentary storytelling with theatrical interpretation to uncover the connective tissue between seemingly separate lives.
