The Male Gaze: Photography by Michael Anthony Downs

The Male Gaze features the work of Photographer/Director Michael Anthony Downs plus exciting live events including a fashion show, artist talk, and a reading of an original choreopoem written by Bob Devin Jones. Downs is known for his work as a male fashion and athletic photographer.

An opening reception will be held on Friday March 11, 2022 at 7:00 PM with a fashion show beginning at 8:00 PM.  The gallery will be open during Second Saturday Art Walk on March 12, 2022 from 5:00-9:00 PM. Photographs will be on display through March 31, 2022.

An artist talk with the photographer will take place directly following the staged reading of Adverts: How I Learned to Navigate Pretty Boy Privedge on Wednesday March 16, 2022. The staged reading begins at 7:00 PM and will last approximately 1 hour. The artist talk will take place directly following, at roughly 8:00 PM. About Michael A. Downs

Michael A. Downs is a Photographer/Director residing in Tampa Bay, FL. He and his work have been featured prominently in national newspapers, magazines such as Glamour, US Weekly and on national television including E!
