Keep St. Pete Lit is proud to announce that it is the new home of  YellowJacket Press (YJP), Florida’s premier poetry chapbook publisher. Under the aegis of Keep St. Pete Lit, YJP will resume state-wide poetry contests and chapbook publications after a nearly three-year hiatus. To celebrate the relaunch of operations and National Poetry Month, Keep St. Pete Lit is hosting a reading featuring many poets published by the press, St. Petersburg Poet Laureate, Gloria Munoz; former Wordsmith of Tampa and founder of YJP, Gianna Russo; the new YJP publisher and director of Keep St. Pete Lit, Maureen McDole; and poets Silvia Curbelo, Kate Sweeney, Jeff Karon, former St. Petersburg Poet Laureate Helen Wallace, and Sara Ries Dziekonski.

The celebratory reading and relaunch will take place on April 27 at Studio@620, 620 First Ave. South in St. Petersburg starting at 7pm.

YellowJacket Press was founded by Gianna Russo in 2005. Self-supporting and all- volunteer, the press has published work by over 40 Florida poets.

YellowJacket Press supports emerging and established poets in Florida with an annual chapbook contest, chapbook publications, and public readings. YellowJacket
Press creates a means for poets to share and promote their work, and nurtures a sense of community among poets and audiences across the state.
